The Real Reichen

You tell me if the tone of this email is slightly different from the actual article in Next Magazine calling people on the A-List “vapid queens”.  Which tone is the real tone?

Thanks for your email. I’m sorry you found my write-up in the TV column offensive.  We’ve followed The A List from before its debut, with a cover story on people’s perceptions about the show, and have continually covered appearances and events with you, Rodiney and other cast members in our blog, the Nexus. 

I have been writing about LGBT television for over a decade, and I understand that what we see on reality TV are “characters,”  not fully fleshed-out representations of private individuals. My comments about the show were meant to be cheeky, not hurtful, and they are of course entirely subjective.
